Kicking off Discovery Green’s Screen on the Green spring movie series, H-E-B is proud to present "Julie and Julia" featuring Meryl Streep's award-winning performance as Julia Child. Free to the public, the movie will screen on the AnheuserBusch Stage on Friday, March 19 at 8 p.m.

MURALS UNDER THE STARS - SPECTACULAR OUTDOOR MULTI-MEDIA PRESENTATIONS COME TO HOUSTON

As part of the celebration of Mexico's Bicentennial, Discovery Green and the Consulate General of Mexico, with the support of Bank of America, will present MURALS UNDER THE STARS by Gregorio Luke. This is a multimedia presentation in which life size images of the murals of Los Tres Grandes: Diego Rivera, Jose Clemente Orozco and David Alfaro Siqueiros, plus Rufino Tamayo, will be screened, using the most advanced digital technology.

We’re Growing! Discovery Green and Urban Harvest to expand the downtown park’s farmers market

Discovery Green is partnering with Urban Harvest to expand the park’s current Sunday green market by extending the footprint of offerings from local small-scale produce growers, family farms producing vegetables, fruits, and other farm products; prepared foods and crafts; chef demonstrations; gardening and growing classes; and more.

STORYCORPS HISTORIAS COMES TO DISCOVERY GREEN

StoryCorps, a national initiative to document the unique stories of Americans, will arrive November 19, 2009 to collect stories of Houston’s Latino and Hispanic residents as part of its Historias Initiative. Historias, which means ‘story’ in Spanish, is an ongoing initiative to celebrate the diversity of Latino lives and culture.
